I graduated from Manchester Medical School and UCH/Royal Free Medical School in 1998 and went on to become an Ophthalmologist. During this time I noticed a gap in the market for a universal disinfectant product for surfaces and shared patient equipment. Together with a fellow doctor, we took this light bulb moment and left medicine to set up GAMA Healthcare in 2004.
GAMA Healthcare is a dynamic company specialising in manufacturing and distributing innovative infection prevention products. With headquarters in Watford, England, we now have offices in six cities, across three continents. Since we developed the world’s first universal disinfectant wipe under the Clinell brand, we have become the largest supplier of wet wipes to hospitals in both the UK and Australia, and export our products to over 70 countries worldwide. We have a large research and development centre, based in Halifax, West Yorkshire, that is permanently engaged in discovering and developing new innovative products and improving on our existing ones. This enables us to continually discover effective solutions and ensure that we remain at the forefront of infection prevention innovation.
