John Horner

Began his career in advertising in 1965, setting up his own agency in 1983 which he subsequently sold to the Havas Group.
In 1992, he set up and ran a children’s clothing company, Babu, which he sold in 1995.
In 1993 he joined Conzept Strategic Systems as MD, with a brief to structure and package the company for a sale, subsequently made to a division of WPP. He joined J Walter Thompson, to set up a strategic brand development consultancy.
In this role, clients included Kellogg’s, Boots, The Post Office, Homebase, Lego and Legoland, Pot Noodle, Hellmann’s, Knorr and Marmite.
In 1999 he was a part of the MBO of Models 1 where he is Managing Director.
He serves as Chairman of the British Fashion Model Agents Association (BFMA), is a Fellow of the Institute of Practitioners in Advertising, a Business Mentor for the Prince’s Trust and a trustee of the Jaipur Heritage Trust. He is also a trustee of Palfest, an annual, Palestinian Literature Festival.
He acts as a non-executive director to a number of companies in fashion and marketing.
