After qualifying at the Bar Lord Fairfax has worked in and around the Shipping Industry for 40 years. He has also co-founded two Private Security Companies.
Lord Fairfax was elected into the House of Lords as an Elected Conservative Hereditary Peer in November 2015, having previously been a Member between 1977 - 1999.
He joined the Board of Sulnox plc, a greentech decarbonisation company, in September 2021, and is particularly interested in where AI may be taking us.
Lord Fairfax speaks French, German, Italian and Russian with varying degrees of fluency
