Martin is responsible for developing new business opportunities in the UK and internationally for the Go-Ahead Group and has a key role in influencing public transport policy. In 2019 he was President of bus trade body Confederation of Passenger Transport (CPT) and he continues to serve as CPT Chairman.
Martin joined Go-Ahead in 2008 from First Group, where he was UK Bus Business Development Director, and previously Commercial Director for Midlands & East Anglia.
Prior to that he was Sales & Marketing Director of ‘one’ Railway and he began his career with London Transport as a graduate trainee.
He is also Non Executive Chairman of Edinburgh Trams.
Martin is married with two grown-up children and lives in Abbots Langley, Watford. He supports Watford FC and is a football referee and cricket fan.
