Paula McMahon
Paula McMahon is Civil Engineer at Sir Robert McAlpine who wears many hats including being a Trustee of the Institution of Civil Engineers, founding chair of Engineering Together and Chair of the Women’s Engineering Society Climate Emergency group. She started her career as an apprentice at Cleveland County Council, in the North East and has since has many different and significant roles on projects that have led to Chartered Fellowship of the ICE and CMI. Paula is passionate about inspiring young people into engineering and construction careers as well as embedding the UN SDGs and sustainability into society. She founded Primary Voices to ease climate anxiety and accelerate climate action and The Line to tackle everyday microaggressions through inappropriate language.
