Peter started his career in manufacturing industry working in South America and Europe. On returning to the UK he spent a number of years working in logistics with the National Freight Consortium (NFC) shortly after the business was bought by the employees from the government.
Over the last twenty years he has worked in management consultancy, specialising in purchasing and supply chain management. He spent five years with a large international consultancy and for the last fifteen years has run his own business.
Peter is a former Policy Director of the UK Shareholders’ Association (UKSA). The Association is an independent not-for-profit membership organisation which aims to represent the voice of the individual shareholder. Peter continues to be an active member of the UKSA Policy team and also works closely with the policy Team at ShareSoc, UKSA’s sister organisation. Most of his input is directed towards developing effective working relationships with the financial regulators, government departments and with those working in the financial services industry who share the beliefs of both the UKSA and ShareSoc in promoting good corporate governance and excellent standards of investment stewardship.
