Roger Neary
Roger Neary has extensive experience in the railway industry having worked for DB Cargo UK (and its predecessors) for thirty-one years. With a background in strategic rail freight planning, Roger is now DB Cargo UK’s Chief Sales Officer with responsibility for client relations and the planning of some 30,000 loaded freight trains per annum using around 700 train drivers, 200 locomotives and 3,000 wagons. Roger’s career has included international assignments having spent a year in the Sales department of DB Cargo UK’s parent company Deutsche Bahn. Following his return to the UK, Roger was promoted in 2018 to the Board of DB Cargo UK as Head of Sales, and in 2021, he assumed the additional responsibility for all of DB Cargo UK’s freight train planning activities under its Service Design function. Away from work, Roger likes to spend his time keeping fit by walking the family dogs, running and skiing.
