Stuart Lewis

LONDON

Stuart was inspired to set up Rest Less after watching a Channel 4 documentary called The Old People’s Home for Four Year Olds in early 2018. The television programme highlighted the myriad of benefits that intergenerational interaction can offer for all parties. It inspired Stuart to reflect on the huge value provided to society by older generations, and yet how in both society and the workplace, they can all too often be overlooked and forgotten as a generation. Stuart set up Rest Less with the aim of creating a membership community which helps its audience navigate both the joys and complexities of life over 50. Today, Rest Less is the fastest growing community of over 50s in the UK with 300,000 members all across the UK. Rest Less is an outspoken advocate of those over 50 and are focused on raising awareness of the challenges faced by its members.

Prior to setting up Rest Less, Stuart was Chief Commercial Officer at a fintech start up where he was responsible for marketing, strategy and growth. Before that, Stuart was at Octopus Investments, leading the rapid growth of its Tax Efficient Investments business whilst being a prominent advocate for start-up finance and the Venture Capital Trust industry as a whole.

Previously, Stuart was Head of Consumer Cards for American Express in Belgium and worked on building the online grocery business for Amazon. In his early career, Lewis held a number of roles in other financial services businesses such as Barclays and Capital One.
