Now General Manager at Touchwood Shopping Centre in Solihull, Tony has a rich and varied hospitality/leisure background working in and operating hotels, bars, restaurants and health clubs for the likes of De Vere, Esporta, First Leisure and most recently Hotel du Vin, during which time he and the hotel won various awards and accolades including Hotel of the Year, Boutique Hotel of the Year, Bar of the Year and General Manager of the Year.
An active ambassador for the region, Tony is Vice President of the Solihull Chamber, Deputy Chair of the Solihull BID, head’s up the Solihull arm of Intelligence Forums, Trustee for the Birmingham Civic Society, Patron for Cure Leukaemia, Judge for the Midlands Food, Drink and Hospitality Awards and the Midlands Education Awards. Tony is a qualified Sommelier and self-proclaimed wine geek, hosting wine events around the city. He was also recently named in the Birmingham Post Power 250 as one of the region’s top influencers and is the reigning Solihull Business Person of the Year.
Tony regularly provides talks, tours and lectures to schools and colleges regarding employability and is a regular public speaker on the hospitality, retail and management. He also recently won an Outstanding Impact for the Community Award at the Solihull Chamber Awards for Touchwood’s work in the community.
