Jo Lewington

Jo Lewington (She/Her/Hers) is Chief Environment & Sustainability Officer at Network Rail, where she leads the organisation’s transformation towards a simpler, better, and greener railway. She is responsible for delivering the Greener Railway Strategy, embedding sustainability across all aspects of planning, design, and operations to achieve net zero, build climate resilience, protect nature, and support thriving communities.

Jo brings more than 30 years’ experience across the rail and commercial property sectors and is a Chartered Surveyor. She is a passionate advocate for integrating environmental and social value into core business decision-making, ensuring the railway plays a vital role in the UK’s long-term economic, environmental and social prosperity.
