Keith Madeley MBE

Following an initial career with British Rail becoming the UK’s youngest ever Station Manager at 21 years of age, I then formed an Independent Financial Advisory firm with a Colleague which we ran for over 30 years before selling it. In recent years I have been involved with Harry Corbett  of Intelligence Forums, a national-based organisation which is keen to help level up the North with London and the South East. The title he has given me is ‘Thought Innovation Co-ordinator for Yorkshire.’  I am also part of the Management Team of Yorkshire Asian Business Association (YABA) and continue to strive to promote inclusivity and diversity. I Chair the Scott Creative Arts Foundation www.scottcreativeartsfoundation.org.uk which is a registered charity based in Thirsk and was formed to provide encouragement to emerging artists in Yorkshire with an annual awards event and exhibition. I am the marketing director for my wife, Chris’ series of children’s educational books (theconesbooks.co.uk), which bring traffic cones to life in different settings and situations. The objective of the books is ‘helping corporate Britain educate children.’
